We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our firm, where you will work closely with experienced partners, provide legal counsel to clients, conduct legal research, draft documents, and manage client files. If you have successfully completed law school, passed the Puerto Rico bar and notary exam, and have 2-3 years of legal experience, this could be the perfect next step in your career. - Litigation support
- Work on general corporate matters
- Work on real estate, mortgage, and/or notarial matters
- Support all practice areas of the firm, as needed
- Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
- Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work closely with senior associate attorneys
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
- Notary Public (or pending admission)
- Fully bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Experience as a law clerk or paralegal would be a plus
- Willingness to take the USDC Bar Exam in short order (if not available)
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to work with all levels of staff and clients
- Willingness to learn from senior lawyers to meet client needs and grow client base
- Has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, with solid academic credentials
$65,000 - $70,000 DOE plus competitive fringe benefits (401(k), full health insurance, CLE, among others).
