Evaluate, takeoff, and bid high-value commercial roofing construction projects across the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. In this role you will serve as a pivotal technical link between design and field operations, estimating offers with the unique flexibility of balancing office-based bidding with direct field involvement, giving you a seat at the table in shaping our growth strategy. • Review job plans to prepare precise take-offs, estimates, and proposals for commercial and public works roofing scopes.
• Attend on-site job walks across the Bay Area to verify site details and gain a complete understanding of project parameters.
• Manage the timely preparation and submission of RFIs and technical submittals for active construction projects.
• Maintain detailed files of working documents, take-offs, and project bids to support accurate records.
• Interface directly with roofing suppliers and system manufacturers to cultivate strong industry relationships and maintain vendor certifications.
• Prepare comprehensive field files and orient superintendents and foremen on specific job scopes, providing on-site consultation as required.
• Coordinate change order pricing and scope adjustments to ensure project budget integrity throughout execution.

• Demonstrated experience performing detailed estimates and plan take-offs for commercial construction or related trade projects.
• Proven proficiency in using spreadsheet tools like MS Excel, including creating and applying custom formulas.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction specifications (spec books) and architectural plan drawings.
• Deep working knowledge of commercial roofing systems and materials, including TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, shingles, silicone coatings, cover boards, ISO insulation, and flashing details.
• Hands‑on proficiency with industry-standard digital take‑off software, such as On Center or Bluebeam.
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

• 5 or more years of related commercial roofing estimation and field consulting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with commercial waterproofing systems and specialized protective coatings.
