Building Automation Systems Engineer III - HVAC at EMCOR Group, Inc.

The Systems Engineer III will coordinate control system planning, installation, programming, and commissioning, and will coach and mentor other project engineers.

• Develop and program a written sequence of operations based on mechanical drawings.
• Lead and schedule commissioning efforts.
• Actively participate in LEED commissioning and coordination meetings.
• Understand the design of mechanical equipment and systems including chiller, boiler, custom AHU, pumping, chilled water plants, clean room applications, and demand response.
• Design and implement complex electrical control circuits including hardwired interlocks and relay logic.
• Provide solutions for energy‑saving opportunities and potential scopes of work for control implementation.
• Perform training for Systems Engineer I and II.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.
• 10+ years of direct automation experience with control systems and programming.
• Working knowledge of at least three HVAC controls systems (preferably Delta, Distech, JCI or Andover).
• Knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to interface with customers at a supervisory and management level.
• Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills, understanding of controls networking.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

$71 - $85 per hour
