Technical Sourcer

Overview

Pacific Fusion was founded in 2023 with the mission to power the world with abundant, affordable, clean energy. We are designing and building a pulsed magnetic fusion system to achieve net facility gain and developing key components to build affordable fusion systems. We have raised over $900M from investors to deliver on these plans and are bringing together scientists, engineers, and operators from the fusion community, hard tech, and other sectors.

As a Technical Sourcer
, you will partner with recruiters and hiring managers to build pipelines of world class engineering and scientific talent. You’ll focus on finding and engaging exceptional talent, developing strategies to reach hard-to-find candidates, and ensuring a thoughtful introduction to our mission. You will be part of a growing team that values curiosity, bold thinking and collaboration.

Note: This is a 3 month contract role to start and will be on site daily in San Leandro.

• Source and engage passive candidates for highly technical roles (engineering, physics, R&D, hardware/software, etc.).
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and define sourcing strategies.
• Build and maintain talent maps, market insights, and pipelines for critical skill sets.
• Craft personalized outreach to spark interest and represent our mission authentically.
• Maintain data integrity in our ATS and share pipeline insights.
• Act as an ambassador for our culture and values, ensuring a positive first touchpoint for candidates.
• Contribute to projects that enhance sourcing effectiveness and overall hiring efforts.

• 2–4 years of experience in sourcing or recruiting.
• Strong research and sourcing skills with expertise in Linked In Recruiter, Boolean search, and other sourcing tools.
• Skilled at writing compelling outreach that earns high response rates.
• Curious, resourceful, and relentless about finding the right talent.
• Thrives in a startup or high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• Pay Range: $60 - $80 USD

Actual base salary offered will be determined by experience, skills, and work location. This range is for base salary; our total compensation includes equity and benefits. We welcome you to apply even if your expectations are outside our listed range.
