Executive Assistant to Chief Executive Officer of Defense Tech

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to the support the CEO of a fast-growing defense and advanced technology startup in San Leandro, CA. This is a highly trusted, high-exposure role supporting a high-intensity founder operating at the intersection of technology, government, and military environments.

This EA will function as a true force multiplier traveling with the CEO, sitting in sensitive meetings, and bringing structure, clarity, and follow-through to a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is composed, capable, deeply professional, curious, and always mission-first.

• Serve as the CEO’s right hand, managing complex calendaring, scheduling, and logistics across time zones
• Coordinate and book extensive travel, including last-minute changes and high-security environments
• Attend meetings across government, military, and technical settings; take expert-level notes and track action items
• Follow up to ensure execution and accountability
• Conduct ad hoc research and tackle a wide variety of assignments, often ambiguous and/or time-sensitive
• Maintain strong professional boundaries at all times

• At least 5 years of experience supporting senior leaders in tech, defense, government-adjacent, or similarly demanding fields
• Passport ready
• Low ego, composed and calm, highly professional, and grounded
• Adaptable, highly responsive, and a quick-learner
• Curious by nature and a lifelong learner; you enjoy being stretched and trying things you might fail at
• Comfortable with ambiguity and variety; no two days look the same
• Highly discreet, respectful, and trustworthy

Compensation and benefits: $165k–$185k base + bonus, benefits, and equity.
