Production Supervisor

Overview

Safeway is a leading milk processor committed to delivering fresh, high‑quality dairy products. We’re looking for an experienced Production Supervisor with a background in dairy manufacturing—especially fluid milk processing—to lead our team and drive performance.

• Supervise daily milk processing operations, including pasteurization, homogenization, filling, and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, PMO, HACCP, and SQF standards.
• Lead and coach production staff to meet safety, quality, and output goals.
• Manage Clean‑in‑Place (CIP) systems and sanitation protocols.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Analyze production data and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with QA, maintenance, and logistics teams.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.

• 5+ years of experience in dairy manufacturing, specifically fluid milk processing.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of pasteurization, homogenization, and dairy packaging systems.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in production software and data analysis tools.
