• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)

  36 hours per week Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2410 – $2580

• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time postpartum nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active California Registered Nurse License (CA RN license required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Proficient in electronic fetal monitoring
• Strong IV skills and lab draw experience
• Knowledge of high-risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin)
• Ability to perform urine point of care testing and capillary blood glucose testing
• Experience with IStat, adult cardiac monitoring, and newborn monitors (pulse oximetry, cardiac monitoring)
• Ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns
• Familiarity with newborn medication administration and maintenance (including IV)
• Experience with Bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers
• Ability to provide gynecological teaching and post-operative bladder training
• Skilled in maternal-newborn teaching and patient education
• Preferred:
  Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN); 3 years of labor and delivery and postpartum experience; 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience; ACLS certification

• Deliver comprehensive postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including high-risk medications
• Perform and interpret electronic fetal monitoring
• Conduct lab draws, IV insertions, and point of care testing
• Educate and support patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation
