Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in San Leandro, CA, for a Sales Specialist. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing customer inquiries, providing consultations, and converting leads into successful event bookings. The role includes creating and managing customer orders using FocalPoint, learning and maintaining knowledge of the company’s inventory and product catalog, and accurately building quotes and orders based on client needs.
Key responsibilities include identifying customer needs, developing tailored solutions, maintaining client relationships, and collaborating with various internal teams to ensure seamless service. The Sales Specialist will also assist in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and follow-up, participate in training sessions, and contribute to sales strategies while gaining a strong understanding of available rental inventory and offerings.
Qualifications- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively address client needs.
- Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and a results‑driven mindset, taking initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
- Some sales experience is a plus, with an interest in learning sales strategies and working toward goals.
- Ability to learn and work efficiently with computer systems and CRM software, including order entry and customer management (experience with FocalPoint is a plus).
- Comfortable using technology in a daily work environment, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in the event rental, hospitality, or a related industry is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
