We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, integrating APIs with front-end applications, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable backend solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development, cloud platforms, and modern Dev Ops practices.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
- Develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write clean, tested, idiomatic, and well-documented Java code.
- Integrate APIs with front-end applications in coordination with UI developers.
- Communicate with external web services and manage API interactions.
- Maintain and enhance existing APIs, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, Kubernetes Services, Oracle DB, and Apigee/API Gateway.
- Strong expertise in Core Java and Spring Framework.
- Experience in multithreading and design patterns.
- Proven experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of web application security and vulnerability handling.
- Experience managing production issues and incident resolution.
- 2–4 years of experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS).
- Familiarity with BDD and TDD methodologies, including unit and integration testing.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Dev Ops practices (Jira, Git/SVN, Jenkins, Fortify, Sonar, Blackduck).
- Experience with container orchestration and deployment using Kubernetes.
- Exposure to API Gateway management and performance optimization.
