We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, develop, and support native mobile applications that deliver modern, intuitive user experiences.
This role involves building scalable solutions in a high-volume transactional environment, migrating applications to the cloud, and collaborating with top developers in an Agile setting.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, design, develop, and support native Android applications.
- Work on UI frameworks and create rapid prototypes for new features and apps.
- Implement automation to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Establish and maintain Android development best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to identify dependencies, tasks, and automation opportunities.
- Mentor team members and assist in recruiting and onboarding developers.
- Continuously improve development practices by leveraging the latest design patterns and technologies.
- Participate in training, Communities of Practice (CoPs), and ongoing learning initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience as a full-time software developer.
- 3+ years of native Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
- Experience with automated testing platforms and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with MVVM and MVP design patterns.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and scalable application design principles.
- Experience consuming RESTful web services and working with push notifications.
- Proficient in Git and CI/CD processes for mobile apps.
- Knowledge of Android development standards, Material Design guidelines, and app release processes.
- Hands-on experience with Dagger, Retrofit, and RxJava.
- Ability to publish apps to Google Play Store.
- Experience with Google Assistant and Actions on Google.
- Exposure to multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g., React, AWS Lambda, Python, Swift).
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices.
- Background in financial services or regulated environments.
- Experience in Scaled Agile Framework and Dev Ops environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
