Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) located in San Luis Obispo, CA. The CPA will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing tax preparation activities, and offering financial and accounting guidance to clients. Daily tasks will include recording financial transactions, reviewing financial data for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

The CPA will also work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee tax planning and compliance for clients
• Assist with preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations
• Understand federal and state tax issues and respond to tax notices
• Help with tax planning, research, consulting, and strategy development
• Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions
• Assist with quarterly/annual projections and estimates
• Client-facing responsibilities and communication
• Supervise staff on client projects
• Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams

Qualifications

• Active CPA License
• Expertise in Tax, Financial Statement Preparation, and Accounting
• Proficient in Pro System Fx tax products
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site setting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
