Position Description
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Leadership & Service, the Club Scheduling Coordinator assumes responsibility for managing the event scheduling process for Cal Poly Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and departmental events for reservable spaces throughout campus. The Club Scheduling Coordinator performs professional work involving sound judgment, consultation with supervisors and fellow coordinators, and excellent communication skills.
Department Summary
The Cal Poly Leadership & Service area consists of Center for Leadership, Clubs & Organizations, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and community impact programs (Center for Service in Action, Community Engaged Learning Center, and College Corps), which support the development of student leadership and service on campus and in the surrounding community. Their events and services encourage leadership skill development and competency, assumption of leadership and service roles, and the continuation of service to one's community after graduation.

Key Qualifications
- Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures, or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
- Ability to independently interpret and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures, including in situations where specific guidelines may not exist.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision, using sound reasoning, judgment, and initiative to address common and unique problems and develop practical, thorough, and creative solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to independently set priorities and manage multiple work unit priorities and projects with fluctuating, time‑sensitive deadlines in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated customer service experience and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and other university constituents.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Four years of general office support or technical experience. Training at a vocational school or full‑time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for six months of experience.
Salary and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range:$48,564 - $56,904 Per Year
Classification Range: $48,564 - $70,752 Per Year
