The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in teaching and curriculum development in Geospatial Engineering for resilient and adaptive civil engineering infrastructures. As scholars, faculty should be engaged in scholarly work that is of very high quality as evidenced by external peer review. As colleagues, faculty are encouraged to perform service activities at all levels of the University.

Responsibilities for this faculty position include, but are not limited to: (a) teaching undergraduate and graduate lecture courses and laboratories in civil engineering and geospatial engineering; (b) contributing to curriculum development in their area of expertise; (c) supervising undergraduate and graduate-level research; (d) developing and maintaining externally-funded research; (e) engaging in activities related to service at the department, college and university levels.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected. Qualified candidates with industry experience are encouraged to apply. Anticipated hiring range: $106,000 - $117,000 per year.

ABOUT

THE DEPARTMENT

The Civil & Environmental Engineering Department has two separate B.S. degree programs with approximately 650 undergraduate students in the Civil Engineering Program and 250 in the Environmental Engineering Program. Both programs are ABET accredited. The Department's undergraduate programs are consistently rated as among the best in the U.S. for non-Ph.D. granting institutions, and the Department proudly supports active and highly regarded student chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, and Air and Waste Management Association, among others.

The Department also offers an M.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with approximately 50 active graduate students.
