appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

responsibilities
  • teach undergraduate structural analysis and structural design, soil mechanics, mechanical/electrical and cadd/revit as part of the architectural engineering curriculum.
qualifications
  • required: a bachelor of science degree in structural engineering or a closely related field.
  • preferred: extensive experience in structural engineering or a closely related field or a master’s degree.
special conditions
  • the person holding this position is a mandated reporter under the california child abuse and neglect reporting act and must comply with csu executive order 1083 as a condition of employment.
  • following a conditional offer, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be satisfactorily completed before any candidate may start work. Negative results may result in withdrawal of the offer.
  • cal poly will not sponsor an h-1b visa for this position.
