- Receive and investigate reports of alleged academic and non-academic misconduct, on and off campus, pursuant to Executive Order 1098.
- Prepare reports and maintains accurate records of proceedings pertaining to corrective action. Assists in preparing reports and maintaining accurate records of conduct proceedings regarding incidents taking place on or off campus. Identify and consider the overall effects of a situation on the parties concerned, taking into account individual circumstances. Make appropriate referrals to Counseling and Psychological Services, Civil Rights & Compliance Office, University Police, and other resources as needed.
- Represents the University at formal proceedings concerning disciplinary action or assists other staff at those formal proceedings.
- Engage students in developmentally appropriate conversations to address and resolve off-campus student conduct matters; collaborate with University administration, city government and community members for resolution of student problems or concerns. Facilitate activities and educational programs, promoting civility, engagement and positive social interaction on and off campus.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and administration at California Polytechnic State University in order to utilize the full potential of the resources available on the university campus. Includes ongoing interaction with University Police Department, Campus Health and Wellbeing, the Counseling Center, the Residence Life and Education Office, Leadership and Service, the Disability Resource Center, community members, and other university departments as necessary.
- Researches, designs, and implements training sessions and presentations for relevant University constituencies; serves as resource and advisor on an ongoing basis; assists in creating and revising various publications and other written materials pertaining to University disciplinary policies and procedures.
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job-related field. Two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.
- A master's degree, by date of hire, in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.
- Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the required knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $29.32 Per Hour
Classification Range: $29.32 - $41.70 Per Hour

The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
