New Graduate (May/June 2026) - Power Delivery Engineer

As a new graduate engineer in ENERCON's Power Delivery group, you'll step into a dynamic role where your work directly supports the backbone of modern energy systems. Whether your focus is on distribution networks or substation design, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team tackling real-world challenges that impact utilities, independent power producers, and industrial clients. From day one, you'll contribute to the design, analysis, and inspection of critical infrastructure ranging from transmission lines and substations to greenfield distribution projects.

You'll gain hands-on experience using industry tools, apply current codes and standards, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. With mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to field work, you'll build a strong foundation in both technical and project management skills. Responsibilities

As a new graduate at ENERCON, you will be expected to actively engage in tasks crucial to project success, including:

  • Learn and apply codes and standards for designing projects
  • Collaborate with senior engineers for field data collection
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery and meeting deadlines
  • Assist with design, analysis, and inspection of power delivery infrastructure
  • Adapt to new software systems and evolving project requirements
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively in writing and presentations
Qualifications
  • ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field (or currently enrolled and graduating May–June 2026)
  • Available to start between May 2026 and August 2026
  • Strong intellectual curiosity about modern energy systems
  • Preferred courses:
    Power Systems Engineering, Power Electronics, Power Systems Analysis & Control, Electric Power Quality
  • Solid foundation in core concepts of your major
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and in teams
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites; navigate client sites for walkdowns
  • Ability to work outside and travel for client and company projects
Interview and Employment Requirements
  • Completion of pre-interview assessments
  • College transcript if within 1 year of graduation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, and background checks (ENERCON and client-specific) and annual MVR checks as applicable

Salary

The salary range for this full-time position is $71,000.00 - $85,000.00. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, experience, and location; within the range, pay is influenced by work location and job-related skills and education or training.
