Overview
The County of San Luis Obispo is offering a career opportunity for an Accounting Technician in the Department of Social Services Fiscal Division. Successful candidates will have experience in budget and finance, be self‑motivated, have strong analytical skills, and be detail oriented with the ability to solve business problems and deliver timely and effective technical work.
ResponsibilitiesUnder direction, incumbents independently perform complex and responsible paraprofessional accounting work. The incumbent has overall technical responsibility for the financial operation of a major accounting system or entity, and performs other related work as required.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- Either four years of experience as an Account Clerk or equivalent position.
- Or two years of experience as a Senior Account Clerk or equivalent position.
- Or an A.S. degree from an accredited college that includes six semester units of accounting.
