TheOpportunity
The Senior Teller is responsible for assisting with the execution of branch activities, including day-to-day delivery of client-facing services and processing transactions. The role provides exceptional customer service and maintains knowledge of products, fees, and Bank offerings to deepen customer relationships. Incumbents are typically more experienced Tellers who handle the full range of retail and commercial transactions. This position may have modest approval limits, so exercising good judgment and guidance to others is critical.
All duties are performed in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
- Accurately and efficiently process transactions (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, ATM, night drop).
- Identify opportunities to refer new products and services to customers based on their financial goals.
- Answer questions and resolve customer concerns regarding services provided by the Bank.
- Reconcile GL debits and credits for a given location over a specified period.
- Vault and ATM balancing.
- Wire processing.
- Holds/Stop payments.
- Monthly certifications.
- Account research.
- Review and verify daily reports assigned by Branch Management.
- New Accounts back-up.
- Adhere to bank policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of client and bank assets; assist with processing and scanning of daily teller work.
- Audit peer transactions.
- Participate and contribute to the branch’s overall goals.
- Help with the training and onboarding of new team members.
- Demonstrates professional and respectful conduct; uphold organizational values; accept responsibility for own actions.

- Performs the position safely and complies with OSHA standards and applicable rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of retail banking experience;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - In-depth background in Bank Secrecy Act compliance and general banking skills; familiarity with applicable regulations such as TILA, ECOA, FHA, HMDA, RESPA, FCRA, BSA/AML, CIP, RFPA, CRA.
- Excellent knowledge of bank deposits, lending products, and services to open accounts.
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in operational activities and terminology; intermediate math skills for balancing and calculations.
- Excellent oral and written communication; professional and helpful attitude with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions in a changing environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and ability to work with general supervision.
- Effective telephone communication skills.

The base salary is determined through a review of education, experience, training, knowledge, skills, and market data.
