Travel RN - Operating Room - First Assist

American Traveler is hiring an RNFA for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of OR experience and active CA RN licensure.

• Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) required, pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• BSN not required for this position
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

• Acute care setting within a 7-suite Operating Room handling 15-20 cases per day
• Common case types include high-volume orthopedics (total joints), general, gyn, peds, and eye cases
• Cardiac cases are also performed but travelers will not be assigned to these
• 8-hour day shifts with variable start times set by the manager
• Uses Cerner Surginet EMR and Philips telemetry equipment
• Scrubbing is preferred but not required for RNs
• Charge nurse coverage available but not 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7; pharmacy available 24/7 except after 10pm when Marian is used for after-hours needs
• No floating required
• One weekend of call per month required
• One call night per week required with a 30-minute response time
• Only required to work holidays in case of emergencies
• Provide first assist support for a variety of surgical cases including orthopedic, general, gyn, peds, and eye procedures
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Floor-specific orientation requirements vary depending on skillset
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
