Registered Nurse – Med Surg, in a travel temporary assignment. Based in San Luis Obispo, California.

This assignment involves planning, coordinating, and delivering nursing care to a mixed adult and geriatric patient population, with supervision of ancillary staff as appropriate.

• Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care for patients on the medical/surgical unit
• Assess patients’ physiological and psychosocial needs; monitor vital signs and respond to clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments with attention to age-related considerations for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Develop, implement, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team; document outcomes and progress
• Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support safe, quality care

• Active registered nurse license in California (RN)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting
• Demonstrated ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Eligibility for a 13-week travel assignment
