As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors. Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Your security detail may include guarding facility access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence.

• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner. Calls may include incidents such as violent or unruly patients, visitors, crimes committed or in progress, emergency codes, or requests for opening doors.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to locations where needed; and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment, and supplies, including radios and hospital codes.
• Report HIPAA breaches if witnessed; investigate security breaches, conduct investigations, and write incident reports. Ensure all activities are logged and reports are accurate, clear, legible, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure that dispatches are to the right location.
• Keep the organization’s mission, vision, and values at the forefront of all decision making and action.

• High School Graduate or GED
• Six (6) months of experience as a security officer in a healthcare setting, law enforcement, or military service
• One (1) year experience as a Security Officer
• Security Guard: CA license
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Driver’s License: CA
• Clean DMV record, no moving violations
