PT - Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant

The Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant will:

• Attend meetings and in-service presentations (e.g., staff meetings, regulatory updates, etc.) to acquire and convey information relevant to job functions.
• Collect student information (e.g., demographic data, circumstantial information) for reports and forms.
• Communicate with internal and external personnel (e.g., speech and language pathologist, parents, students) to exchange necessary information.
• Establish positive relationships with students and parents to ensure a positive experience.
• Input data into the student information system to ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Manage assigned projects and activities, such as therapy and reports, to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Monitor student plans to ensure compliance with established plans.
• Prepare written documents and materials, including correspondence, program descriptions, and parent notices.
• Process new and referral students for enrollment and orientation in accordance with program requirements.
• Provide ongoing feedback to relevant parties to keep them informed.
• Research topics related to current practices and administrative requirements.
• Translate verbal and written communications to assist speech-language pathologists, students, and parents.

• Experience:
  
  Job-related experience preferred.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Certificates & Licenses: SLPA License.
• Clearances: IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Starting Salary: $25.84/hour.
• Position Duration: 180 days.
