The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Spring 2026 to teach CS 481:
Intro to Mobile Programming.

Course Description

Introduces students to the fundamentals of developing applications for mobile devices including smartphones and tablets. Common issues and special considerations for programming on mobile devices will be discussed. Software engineering principles in project design and human‑computer interaction will be applied. Students will also learn about the development of cross‑platform mobile web applications.

Qualifications
  • A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Familiarity with California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy (employment must be performed in California)
Preferred Qualifications
  • A doctorate or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience teaching similar courses at 4‑year universities
  • Preference given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community in teaching and service
Salary
  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,008 per full‑time month
  • CSU Classification Salary Range (Lecturer A - AY): $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month
