Overview
The Department of Modern Language Studies at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Salary is commensurate with credential and experience.
Responsibilities- Maintain a pool of qualified applicants for short-term temporary Lecturer positions across campus, with appointments lasting from one day to one semester as needed.
- Teach in areas of Spanish, French, or German as assigned; adapt to diverse student populations.
- A master 's degree in Spanish, French, or German
- Working in California is a condition of employment per the CSU Out-of-State Employment Policy
- ABD or doctorate degree in the language of instruction
- Experience teaching at the college/university level
- Intercultural competence and commitment to serving a diverse campus community
Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $8,000 per full-time month. See CSU Classification Salary Range details in the posting (Lecturer A AY $5,507-$6,677; Lecturer B AY $6,221-$13,224).
