The School of Criminal Justice and Criminology seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach courses in criminal justice and criminology. Potential opportunities for teaching undergraduate courses exist on the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses. Potential opportunities for teaching graduate level courses exist on the San Marcos campus and online. All positions are subject to availability of funds.
Required QualificationsA master’s degree in criminal justice or related field, or a J.D., is generally the minimal requirement for teaching in our program. A Ph.D. or J.D. is typically required to teach in the graduate program, although a person with a master’s degree and considerable relevant work experience could potentially teach in the master’s program.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious teaching experience is preferred.
