The Department of Kinesiology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach KINE
190-First Year Experience.
Description:
Foundational skills for academic success in Kinesiology. Developsessential scholarly, and real-world analytical and problem-solving skills. Covers discipline-specific writing conventions, currentfaculty research, and resources on campus for Kinesiology majors.
Emphasizes cooperative learning, project management,professionalism, effective communication, and information literacy.
Promotes intrapersonal and interpersonal skills to be used andreinforced throughout the Kinesiology program.
- A master’s degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field
- Knowledge of CSUSM resources and the ability to connect students with those resources
- Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to performCSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
- A doctorate or terminal degree in the area of instruction or aclosely related field.
- Higher education experience teaching in the area
- Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrateintercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable,service.
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-timemonth
The salary schedule information for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:
- CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 -$6,677 per full-time month
- CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer B - AY: $6,221 -$13,224 per full-time month
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum ofthe appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
