Under general supervision, the Associate Quality Engineer supports the Quality Assurance team by expanding and improving the quality culture and manufacturing process capability throughout the entire product life cycle.

Essential Job Functions / Tasks- Works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain Management to ensure all components and finished goods are of optimal quality and meet expectations of Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
- Applies statistical analysis and utilizes lean six-sigma methodology to improve product quality, increase operating efficiency, improve process capability, and aid in the design for manufacturability.
- Establishes, develops, and implements problem‐solving techniques, while keeping up to date with current technology and competitive developments.
- Works closely with supply base, contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure inspections and test procedures are comparable to the organization’s procedures.
- Establishes processes to evaluate and maintain the precision and accuracy of inspection equipment and inspector/operator training. Supports programs and procedures resulting in continuous process improvement and measurable advances in overall product quality.
- Maintains measurement systems for all part/mold numbers released to production, performs data analysis and creates reports to support continuous improvement.
- Supports qualification process for new product introduction as well as new capacity tooling. Ensures all measurement methods and systems adhere to engineering requirements as well as the specified capabilities and GRR levels.
- Under the appropriate guidance, verifies and responds to Non-conforming Material Review (NCMR) and Corrective Action (CA) systems.
- Follows closed-loop corrective action programs and techniques to improve efficiencies and reduce costs using six sigma methodologies.
- Identifies, justifies, and leads multiple projects to improve operating efficiencies, reduce defects and variation, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
- No experience required.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft and various quality systems software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of employees.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills with ability to work within timelines.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical and statistical techniques.
- Excellent problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.
- Ability to drive the implementation of permanent solutions while working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, to test sites, customer locations, vendors, and trade shows. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or LEAN manufacturing experience preferred.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $72,000 to $77,000.
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job‑related factors, and geographic location.
