Junior Financial Analyst

Robert Half is working with a San Marcos organization seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join a collaborative Finance team. This position is designed for someone who has a solid foundation in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business and wants hands-on experience with FP&A and business reporting.

Rather than being purely data-entry focused, this role gives you the opportunity to understand how financial information flows through a business and how Finance supports operational decisions.

What You’ll Handle:

Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting

Update budget and forecast templates

Prepare department-level financial schedules

Track expenses and compare spending against budget

Research and document financial variances

Assist with revenue and expense analysis

Pull financial data from internal systems and Excel Maintain reporting databases and financial files

Help prepare management presentations and reporting packages

Support month-end close analysis

Assist with KPI and performance reporting

Identify inconsistencies in financial data and work with the team to resolve them Assist with special projects, forecasting, and process improvements
