Location: Hybrid | Bedford, Nova Scotia
Duration: 6 months
Our client, a leading financial institution in Bedford, Nova Scotia, is looking for an AP Processor to triage invoices for processing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in role- Processing and issuing payments
- Process accounts payable transactions ensuring timely, accurate and completeness
- Ensure all accounts payable transactions contain valid information for input, identify and follow escalation protocol for those that don't
- Follow policy and internal procedures/processes ensuring all controls are met and adhered to.
- Participate in the identification and resolution of issues and concerns, helping to identify the root cause of issues and proposing ideas to resolve
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying, recommending and helping implement solutions
- Provide consistent and high-quality service within established benchmarks, contributing to the achievement of service levels (SLA's and KPI's)
- Accounting Diploma or Degree, Experience in Accounts Payable
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications including Excel.
- Superior communication in both written and verbal
- Experience in SAP
- Experience working in financial institutions or the banking sector.
- Relevant experience in accounting firms.
- Initiative, Ownership of work, Strong communication skills
- University or college degree or certificate in Accounting.

The hourly compensation range for this role is C $20 - C $24.
