Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial and public works projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for overall project execution, including cost control, schedule management, subcontractor coordination, compliance, and client communication. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, financially minded, and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
  • Manage projects from contract award through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate internal and external teams
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
  • Review subcontractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and approval
  • Prepare and manage pay applications, change orders, and job cost reports
  • Identify cost risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Schedule Management
  • Develop baseline and look-ahead schedules
  • Monitor progress and proactively address schedule impacts
  • Coordinate sequencing with self-performed crews and subcontractors
  • Procure, contract, and manage subcontractors and suppliers
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings and performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, insurance, and safety standards
Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change logs, and meeting minutes
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and public agency requirements (if applicable)
  • Coordinate inspections and closeout documentation

Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and inspectors
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates
  • Resolve issues professionally and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial or public works construction
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
  • Proven experience managing project budgets and schedules
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Trimble, Spectrum, or similar)
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Experience with self-performed work (civil, concrete, utilities, or similar)
  • Experience with prevailing wage, public works, or federal projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • OSHA 30 certification
Compensation

$140,000 - $160,000 yearly
