At VCI Construction, LLC, as a Copper Splicer, you’ll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections.

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered provisional), including an acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
• Six months of copper splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry.

• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber is preferred.

• Routinely: operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion; work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level; bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds.
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse.

The wage range for Splicer I Copper is $25.00 - $37.00.
