Join the Asphalt Foreman role at VCI Construction, LLC. This position leads field crews in paving projects, ensuring safety, quality, and production timelines.

• Lead, train, and mentor crew members to meet project timelines while assisting the Supervisor with day‑to‑day field operations.
• Perform and oversee skilled asphalt tasks—including raking, rolling, digging, and loading—to ensure high‑quality finishes.
• Safely operate heavy construction machinery and maintain all work areas to company standards.
• Supervise and assist in the installation of underground telecommunications cabling and oversee site restoration efforts.
• Read and interpret blueprints for accurate project execution and use company technology responsibly to complete daily production reports.
• Enforce strict adherence to company safety policies, OSHA standards, and DOT regulations.
• Serve as the onsite point of contact for property owners to communicate project progress and professionally resolve any concerns.
• Work independently and make sound decisions in unsupervised environments while providing accurate information to management.
• Maintain a routine driving schedule between job sites safely and ensure the transport of materials and equipment meets safety protocols.
• Perform physically demanding labor and lead teams effectively in all weather conditions to complete “other duties as assigned.”

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. At least three years of related construction experience; previous leadership or foreman experience highly valued.
• Valid driver’s license and demonstration of a record of safe vehicle operation.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting utility maps to identify underground utilities for safe excavation and cabling installation.
• Demonstrated experience safely operating various hand tools, utility trucks, and heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including standing, bending, and working at various heights or angles for extended periods.
• Must be capable of regularly lifting 50 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 100 lbs as required by project demands.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, snow, and rain.
• Consistently wear and maintain standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and safety boots.
• Effective communication with coworkers and customers to ensure project transparency and safety.

• Work alone in remote locations and confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, lift >55 lbs.
• Occasionally use ladder, keyboard, and mouse.

$25.00 – $34.00 per hour
