Foreman - Pipefitter I
REPORTS TO:
Superintendent
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Pipefitter Foreman will report directly to the Superintendent and will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Pipe fitters to deliver exceptional quality and customer service to our clients. The Pipefitter Foreman will be closely working with the Superintendent to understand the goals and direction of the company and lead their team to generate profits.
Responsibilities- Develop solutions to make sure issues never become problems.
- Review projects with Superintendent and/or Project Manager after equipment and subs are in place; perform physical survey of project with the Superintendent to ascertain conditions and report back to PM in writing, if required.
- Perform takeoffs for projects in a timely and thorough manner with the Superintendent.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions to include, but not limited to, scheduling, material control, and rentals.
- Provide daily job completion percentages.
- Ensure all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, company policies and other requirements as they occur. Document all incidents as they occur and notify Project Manager and Superintendent. Recommend and implement corrective action.
- Ensure that all jobs have weekly reports filled and turned into the office weekly, including safety/toolbox reports, preconstruction, weekly production reports and any project-specific reports.
- Conduct inspections on jobs, ensure jobs are detailed to Pueblo Mechanical standards, ensure jobs are ready, and participate as needed in start-ups; coordinate with contractors, engineers, subcontractors and owners as necessary.
- Coordinate with shop for production scheduling and deliveries.
- Maintain 4+ years’ experience; journeyman or able to obtain license.
- Able to read blueprints and prepare materials lists.
- Work to increase team efficiency and uphold high standards of safety at all times.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and punctual.
- Ability to multi-task and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally.
- Professional in appearance and speech.
- Experience with government facilities is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent bending and lifting, standing and walking over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climb ladders.
- 4+ years’ experience; journeyman or able to obtain license.
- Able to read blueprints and prepare materials lists.
- Strong safety culture and ability to lead a field team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
