Position Title: RTC Child Adolescent Psychiatrist – Residential Treatment
Location: San Marcos, Texas
San Marcos Treatment Center is recruiting a passionate full-time Child Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team.
San Marcos Treatment Center
, a premier psychiatric residential treatment facility serving children and adolescents (ages 6-17) since 1940. Located between Austin and San Antonio, our 212‑bed, seclusion‑free campus provides a healing environment within a 65‑acre therapeutic setting.
- Capacity: 212 beds with 13 specialized living units.
- Seclusion‑free environment.
- Average length of stay: 4‑12 months.
- Comprehensive amenities: swimming pools, gymnasiums, sports courts, ROPES course, Healing Trail, and more.
- On‑site education provided by Ki Charter Academy.
- Dynamic, supportive medical team.
- Type:
Full‑time with a flexible 4‑day schedule. - Typical caseload:
Up to 3 units or 45 patients weekly. - Setting:
Residential treatment for children and adolescents. - Frequency:
Most patients are seen once per week. - Employment options:
Independent Contractor (1099) or Employed (W‑2) - W‑2 Benefits: PTO, 401(k) match, malpractice insurance, CME package, disability coverage, and more.
- Minimal, phone‑only weekend call coverage.
Texas medical license in good standing.
