The Department of Engineering Technology at Texas State University is seeking applicants to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor in our growing Construction Science and Management (CSM) and Concrete Industry Management (CIM) programs, beginning in Fall 2026. These undergraduate programs are accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) and the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Technology (ATMAE), respectively, and currently serve about 1,000 students.

The department is also home to MS and PhD programs in construction management with in‑person and online options. The selected candidate is also expected to conduct research and to secure external funding, establish an independent research program, and publish in areas appropriate for both construction and for an emerging research institution. The candidate will also be expected to engage both undergraduate and graduate students in research activities and to supervise graduate students.

In addition, the selected candidate will participate in appropriate service activities at the program, department, university, and professional levels.

  • An undergraduate degree in Construction Management from an ACCE or ABET accredited institution, or in Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, or a closely related field from a similarly accredited institution.

The successful applicant will be offered the appropriate rank and title based on the established standards of the university and the Department of Engineering Technology.
