Principal Engineer - Geotechnical

Principal Engineer - Geotechnical at ECS Group of Companies. The role provides technical leadership in geotechnical engineering and supports staff across branches and regions.

Location:

Austin, TX. Salary: $82,000.00-$98,000.00.

• Provide technical expertise and support Geotechnical staff within a branch and across regions.
• Host or attend project meetings with clients and ECS staff to deliver technical solutions as requested.
• Mentor Associate Principals and participate in the review committee for Associate Principal designation (Geotechnical).
• Oversee projects at the office and regional levels, including technical report reviews, preparing and reviewing proposals, and assisting with department management and P&L.
• Support business development and marketing by maintaining and developing client relationships.
• Assist hiring managers in staffing decisions and lead and coach junior staff.
• Due to cross-department collaboration, duties may also include performing the above tasks in CMT.

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar field is required.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Designation as a senior reviewer at your current or previous firm is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license is required in each state where you work.
• Valid driver's license if driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary.
