Receiving Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Receiving Supervisor oversees all inbound shipments and ensures accurate, timely, and efficient receiving processes. This role is responsible for supervising receiving staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

• Supervise and coordinate daily receiving operations, including unloading, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods.
• Verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain proper records of received goods in the inventory management system.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures during unloading and storage.
• Train, schedule, and evaluate receiving team members to maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Communicate with vendors, purchasing, and other departments to resolve delivery issues.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving areas.
• Prepare reports on receiving activities, inventory discrepancies, and team performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse or receiving operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
