Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN/LPN

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) will provide nursing care to students at the Gary Job Corps Center in San Marcos, TX. The LVN/LPN will work under the direction of the Center Director and the Health and Wellness Manager to provide high-quality care and support to students.

• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled students.
• Record students' medical histories and symptoms and perform diagnostic tests and analyze results.
• Monitor and record students' vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse.
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or health care providers.
• Assist physicians or health care providers with medical procedures.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
• Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, and performing catheterizations.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
• Assist with health and wellness education programs and activities.

• Current and unrestricted LVN/LPN license in the state of Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with a diverse population of students.
