- Act as manager when the manager is unavailable
- In charge of shifts and delegating tasks
- Restock the register nightly for the correct change
- Take deposits to the bank several times a week and maintain an accurate count of petty cash
- Assist with managing inventory and placing orders
- Assist in writing the schedule and collecting information from employees about schedule issues
- Lead the team, ensuring food is made accurately and delivered to customers in a timely manner
- Demonstrate exemplary knowledge of the job and provide excellent customer service
- Deal with upset customers or food problems in a polite way to ensure customer satisfaction
- Accept deliveries, ensure completeness and correctness, or issue refunds as needed
- Communicate with managers/owners about inventory status and reorder needs
- Communicate with managers/owners about employees’ strengths, dependability, and customer service
- Manage the break schedule and ensure on-time arrivals and appropriate breaks
- Attend Management Meetings
- Share ideas to improve efficiency and safety, including new recipe ideas
- Assist with interviews, evaluations, and training
- Explain training material and health benefits of ingredients to customers in an upbeat manner
- Keep the front lobby and outside area clean
- Provide excellent customer service, be positive and informative, and give accurate wait times
- Assist and ring up guests, answer phone calls, and take orders over the phone
- Have thorough knowledge of the food and recipes; follow recipes and prepare food timely and sanitary
- Prepare food according to proper procedures
- Continuously and thoroughly clean the kitchen and lobby
- Put away deliveries and keep everything organized
- Wash dishes and put away
- Communicate with staff to ensure orders are made correctly and on time
- Deliver food to customers
- Show up on time and take breaks for appropriate lengths
- Complete all opening and closing duties
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the manager and follow sanitation guidelines
- Stock and rotate food
- Adhere to safety procedures
- Practice cost-control measures
- Contribute as a team member
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
- Become food certified
- Manage basic computer/POS use; handle cash and credit cards
- Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
- Stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes occasionally, move quickly, and maintain a sense of urgency
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Come to work with a positive attitude and work well with others
- Leadership abilities and management experience are a plus
- Restaurant experience is a plus
- Ability to handle basic computer/ POS operations; handling cash and credit cards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Essential job duties may require standing for long periods and light lifting
- Must comply with health, sanitary, and safety requirements
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Be punctual and reliable
