Dozer - Heavy Equipment Operators; San Antonio, TX Austin Bridge & Road

Overview

Heavy Equipment Operator based in San Antonio, TX is responsible for operating heavy equipment used to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Duties include operating stationary or traveling cranes, excavators, water trucks, loaders, and other equipment as required, ensuring loads are safely attached and operated according to safety protocols. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Operate Excavator, Water Truck, Loader, Compactor, Skid Steer operators as assigned.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues daily and determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• Cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• Operate equipment according to signals from rigger.
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 1-3 years of operating equipment in a construction setting.
• Must pass drug screen and physical.
