Tom Ellerhorst DDS, MSD is looking for a dedicated Sterilization Assistant to join our dental team in San Mateo, CA! This is a vital role that keeps our practice running safely and efficiently, ensuring every patient receives care in a clean and sterile environment. If you take pride in precision, cleanliness, and supporting a top-notch dental team, we want to hear from you!

We are willing to train -- no experience is necessary.

• Clean, sterilize, and prepare dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
• Operate and maintain autoclave and other sterilization equipment
• Organize and restock treatment rooms and instrument trays between patient appointments
• Monitor and document sterilization cycles to ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and notify lead assistant when restocking is needed
• Support clinical staff by ensuring instruments and materials are ready and available at all times

• Willingness to be trained and an energetic upbeat personality
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe, sanitary environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Available Monday through Thursday 12:30-6pm
