The Opportunity: Bright Bee is looking for paraprofessionals and behavior assistants for both general and special education environments in a summer program. You will be responsible for providing individual and small group support for students with both special and typical learning needs including, but not limited to: the classroom, recess, and lunch area. Depending on the assignment, contractors in this position work may with students who have moderate to severe learning, physical and emotional disabilities, assisting in the implementation of classroom behavior intervention plans where necessary.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to :

Instructional Support - execute individualized education programs as assigned by the teacher

Behavioral Support - utilize behavior management strategies, with an emphasis in positive reinforcement

Supervision - assist in monitoring student(s) during non-instructional times including breaks, lunch, recess and enrichments (PE, art, before/after school)

Communication - cooperate with necessary documentation processes, school support specialists, and other processes regarding the student(s) progress

Compensation: you control what you earn, based on what assignments you claim. While hourly pay varies based on assignment and experience required, on average assignments range from $28.50/hr - $31/hr at the starting rate. Due to our completed assignments milestone model, some Bees can make up to $42/hr! The more assignments you take and complete, the higher your earning power.
