Dance & Acro Teacher

Small Fry Dance Club / Principal Arts Is Hiring ABOUT US

We are located in San Mateo, Ca. Our program was founded in 2007 and has grown to one of the largest dance schools on the peninsula. We offer classes for kids as young as 2 years of age, and up to 18 years of age. Small Fry Dance Club is our preschool program, and Principal Creative & Performing Arts is our school age program.

Our studio was founded by Jana & Carlos Chapeton. We currently have about 20 teachers on staff and teach at our studio and on site at preschools throughout the Bay Area.

We are looking for teachers that love teaching the preschool age groups. We have a very well developed curriculum with weekly lesson plans. Dancers in these age groups focus on motor skill development and creative movement, as well as being introduced to basics in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre. If you are open to teaching this age group we would love to meet with you.

Separately, we are in need of an Acro teacher. Classes are currently on hold until we find an qualified candidate. An acrobatic arts background/certificate would be required. These classes are currently slated for Sunday afternoons. You would need to be available on Sundays on a regular basis.

If you have the background to teach both the preschool age and acro, we do have a need for a preschool teacher on Sunday mornings, which means we could fill your schedule on that day. If this sounds like a perfect fit for you, please reach out.

PAY
$35-50/hr depending on experience and education. You would be a W2 employee and as such would need to follow our studio guidelines, policies, class structure, and curriculum. This is not a contract position.

If you do not teach acro, but are interested in leading other styles, please reach out. We may have a need to fill more classes in the coming months and would love to get some interviews on the books in advance.
