Schedule:
Placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule is based upon education and credited experience. Initial placement can range from $60.01 to $75.10 per hour (Salary Schedule AJ - Special Rate).
Months Per Year: Semester assignments as needed

The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills and is a sophisticated communicator who interfaces with colleagues, faculty, staff, and administration at the campus and district to assist with project management, training, documenting, and reporting on initiatives relating to distance education.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate the development of projects in support of distance education courses and programsProvide leadership in promoting effective distance education pedagogies at the College in collaboration with instructional designersLead campus efforts to align the College's distance education programs with guidelines related to accreditationCoordinate the College's distance education courses and programs following state Title V and Chancellor's Office regulationsActively participate as a delegate for the College's membership in the statewide Distance Education Coordinators Organization (DECO)Consult regularly with deans and directors concerning the delivery of appropriate distance education courses and support servicesRegularly attend Curriculum Committee meetings and assist with Distance Education addendum consultation and facilitationRegularly attend assigned committee meetings (i.e., Technology Advisory Committee, District Distance Education Advisory Committee) to provide input in the development of online instructional programs and faculty training/professional developmentWork collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that current and future distance education activities and technologies meet student and community needsWork collaboratively as a member of the Center for Transformative Teaching & Learning team and support facilitating its goals centered on distance educationContribute suggestions for improving and maintaining websites relating to distance educationPrepare and participate in developing reports as necessary in support of the distance education strategic planningProvide information, as needed, to assist the Dean in preparing the operational budget as related to distance educationMaintain relationships with student support programs as they relate to equity in distance educationMaintain office and support hours at times appropriate to the needs of faculty, students, and staff, as well as participate in department and division meetingsPerform related duties and responsibilities as assignedEmployment Standards (acquired through education, training, and/or experience) Knowledge of
