WHB Engineers is a well-established and growing Civil Engineering and Construction Management firm with offices in San Diego, San Mateo, Dublin, Pleasant Hill and Chico, California. Our firm provides a full array of engineering, public works design and construction and project management services.

We are looking for a Managing Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience. The ideal candidate is a dependable and adaptable civil engineering professional, capable of marketing and winning work, leading a team, and carrying out managerial duties. Experience in client management and sales is a plus. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, the ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment, and a personable and professional demeanor are required.

• Supervises the work of Staff Engineers, including serving as Engineer of Record.
• Prepares proposals and contracts, renderings, collects bills, monitors job performance, and serves as the firm's responsible contact with specific clients.
• Works to ensure projects are profitable, on schedule, and meet the requirements of our clients.
• Mentors and supports staff.
• Maintains client relationships and identifies new project leads.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of demonstrated design and management experience.
• California PE License required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Self‑motivated, goal oriented, with strong attention to detail.
• Solid experience with the MS Office Suite.

We offer a generous salary and benefits package that includes company‑paid medical and dental insurance, vacation, and a 401(k) plan. The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $185,000
, depending upon experience.
