Creator Platform & Planning Manager San Mateo, CA (Hybrid)Game creators, publishers, developers and creator‑enablers are an integral part of Play Station’s ecosystem, and understanding and addressing their needs, priorities, and points of friction is essential to keeping Play Station as the Best Place to Publish. Our teams within Global Partner Development & Relations are passionate about supporting our large community of game creators, publishers and developers.
Join us in supporting game creators as the Creator Platform Policy Planning Manager. This role will be instrumental in shaping the Play Station ecosystem crafting strategies and policies that cultivate a dynamic environment for our partners, all while safeguarding the platform integrity and the trust of our users.
What you’ll be doing :- Draft, edit, and maintain internal platform policy, supporting documents, FAQs, and implementation guidance for internal audiences.
- Operate the intake and assessment workflow for policy proposals and exceptions, track items from request through to decision and publication.
- Record decisions, owners, timelines, and rationales to create durable precedents that can be referenced and applied consistently.
- Maintain the policy repository and taxonomy, monitor document recency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with partner teams to ensure policies cascade coherently into technical requirements, publishing rules, and operating procedures.
- Build lightweight tracking and reporting (dashboards, SLAs) to measure time‑to‑decision, action completion, and document quality.
- Monitor emerging risks, market practices, and regulatory developments to inform updates to existing policy.
- 4+ years in policy operations, program management, knowledge management, or a related function within technology, media, or platforms.
- Proven ability to translate complex discussion into clear, concise action items and policy documentation.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional workflows and driving items to closure with accountability and high standards.
- Strong writing, organization, and information‑architecture skills; proficiency with collaboration and tracking tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Strong capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with platform ecosystems and how policy cascades into platform requirements and operational rules.
- Background in policy analysis, content/publishing operations, or trust & safety considered a plus.
- High‑level comprehension of technical specifications, requirements, and SDK documentation, particularly in relation to game production and development, would be hugely beneficial.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below. $141,000 — $211,600 USD
