Finance Manager – Guidewire Software
Corporate Finance Team.
The RoleAs a Finance Manager, you will have a critical role in the Sales Finance function and will report to the Director. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, reliable forecasts and reporting for Software Revenue and related highly visible, top‑line metrics through strong organizational skills, excellent attentiveness to detail, and an innate understanding of data and financial processes. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, analytical, and process‑oriented with experience in establishing and implementing best practices.
This role will also require an individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves as duty requires, and enjoys collaborating with people in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Liaise with Sales Operations, Deal Desk, and Revenue teams to ensure the consistency, reliability and quality of complex financial models, analyses and reporting for worldwide software revenue projections, annualized recurring revenue (ARR), bookings, and long‑range models.
- Help drive strategic decisions by analyzing historical data, performing trend analyses, and forecasting top‑line metrics.
- Manage data quality and data accuracy across all analyses, reporting, and projects, and lead continuous improvement efforts to standardize and automate analyses and reporting to scale the business.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and testing of top‑line metrics planning and reporting tools.
- Monitor compliance with policies and controls, and facilitate internal and external audits related to key metrics.
- Prepare and review financial presentations for management for weekly updates and various company meetings (board meetings, earnings calls, investor/analyst day).
- Ad‑hoc analysis and projects as‑needed to support business needs.

- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 8+ years total experience in Corporate Finance/Financial Planning and Analysis role (preferably for a SaaS Company) and/or Public Accounting.
- Knowledge of ASC 606 Software Revenue and proven experience with top‑line metrics.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience with Google Workspace, Oracle, Adaptive, or similar financial reporting/planning tools. Knowledge of Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Experience building and improving processes and systems.
- Detail‑oriented with strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data‑driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $114,000 - $170,000. Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full‑time positions or part‑time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well‑being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company‑sponsored retirement plan.
In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long‑term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
