Senior Software Engineer – AI + EdTech at Hewitt Banks

We’re a cross-functional founding team with 20+ years of experience across education, engineering, product, and machine learning. Collectively, we’ve built at places like Coursera, Google, Robinhood, Meta, Stanford, Snowflake, Palantir, and more.

Now, we’re bringing that experience together to reimagine the future of online education and we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us.

This is a rare opportunity to have a massive impact shaping the product from the ground up and defining how millions of people learn with AI.

What You’ll Do

• Build new user-facing features and design the foundational experience of the platform

• Work with cutting-edge AI (LLMs) on projects like:

• AI-augmented course creation

• Reinventing core elements of the online learning experience

• Own features end-to-end across domains like payments, student portals, live sessions, chat & community, analytics, and developer tools

• Help define engineering best practices for a modern, opinionated product

• Collaborate directly with PMs, designers, and customer success to deliver delightful experiences for learners and instructors

What We’re Looking For

• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, code standards, reviews, testing, operations)

• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical + non-technical teams

• Excitement for early-stage environments where you’ll shape product, culture, and process

• Experience building and shipping AI / ML products (nice to have)

• Open to remote hires across the US and Canada

$150,000 to $170,000 (flexible) + Generous Equity
