As a Product Designer at Skydio, you’ll help define how humans interact with autonomous flying systems. You’ll design intuitive, powerful tools across web and mobile that bring cutting‑edge robotics, computer vision, and AI to life, enabling customers in inspection, construction, public safety and defense to do their work more safely and efficiently.

• Lead the design process for core and new functionality for Skydio Cloud and/or Android‑based Ground Control Stations. Core areas include:
  • Fleet Management
  • Inspection & Mapping
  • Data Visualization
  • Annotation and Records Tools
  • Remote Operation
  • In‑Flight Experience
  • AI‑Driven Missions
  • Media Management
• Go on‑site with customers to deeply understand their needs and work with Product Managers and Engineers to build AI‑based tools that customers love.
• Lead cross‑functional designers, engineers and marketers to build out the Skydio Design Language across our cloud and mobile experiences, creating a cohesive toolbox for all designers.
• Provide mockups, user flows, pixel‑perfect designs in Figma or write HTML/CSS directly to drive the design process for engineers, while communicating design goals to PMs and Executives.
• Bring your insights and experience to improve production and processes around the design organization.

• Proven track record of delivering complex design work to enterprise customers.
• A portfolio that clearly defines your contributions on cloud products; bonus points for specific work in Fleet Management, Avionics, Photo Management, Geospatial Analysis or Mapping, 3‑D Web Tools, Video Review Workflows, or Remote Hardware Sensing (cameras, robotics, aviation).
• Solid understanding of design systems that span mobile and web.
• Strong examples of beautiful data, visualization, 3‑D, and table layout and visual design.

• Exploring AI‑first design and prototyping tools (Cursor, Windsurf, Figma Make, V0).
• Working with 3‑D on the web (WebGL, Cesium, Three
  
  JS).
• Designing for Android and other mobile environments.
• Getting hands‑on with front‑end code (HTML/CSS/JS or libraries like Tailwind).

This role is based at least 3 days/week onsite at our San Mateo, CA headquarters. We offer relocation assistance and support for candidates moving to the Bay Area.

At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full‑time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation varies based on factors such as skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $210,000* (subject to location and final leveling). Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles.
