AI Engineer (Applied/Software), Machine Learning/ ML Engineer, Digital Marketing, AI Business & Operations
Lavendo partners with startups and high‑growth companies to help them hire top‑tier sales, GTM, and technical talent. This role is with one of our clients; we’ll share full details about the company and interview process as we get to know you and confirm mutual fit.
About the CompanyOur client is a frontier data research lab. Their thesis: models are what they eat. A large share of training compute is burned on data that's redundant, irrelevant, or harmful - so they built a platform that automatically curates petabytes of raw data into high-quality training data. It's modality-agnostic, needs no labels, and runs inside the customer's own cloud or on-prem.
The results are concrete: 7-40x faster training, performance as if trained on 10x+ more raw data, and models with less than half the parameters beating larger ones. AI labs and enterprises use it to train and adapt their own models.
Our client has raised ~$60M across Seed and Series A, led by Felicis and Amplify Partners, with Radical Ventures, Microsoft, and Amazon. Angels include Geoff Hinton, Yann LeCun, and Jeff Dean. The team is growing fast on the back of a strong enterprise pipeline.
The MissionEvery company should own its intelligence. Our client wants every AI team - not just the frontier labs - to have frontier-quality training data and full control over the cost and roadmap of their own models.
The OpportunityOur client is hiring an AI Developer Experience & Media Lead to build its media and developer experience function from zero. You'll be the voice of the company on X and beyond, turning real research into threads, demos, videos, and launches that technical people actually want to read and share.
You’ll sit on the marketing team and work directly with the co-founder on content strategy and execution, with direct access to the researchers and engineers doing the work. No legacy playbook, no layers of approval - and an AI community that's already paying attention.
What You'll DoTurn research and product work into technical storytelling - threads, demos, videos, and launches
Run the company's voice on X day-to-day: posting, replying, quote-posting, and joining live conversations in real time
Help founders and researchers show up in their own voices - draft for them and enable their social presence
Own research launches end to end across X, the technical blog, and video - angle, assets, sequencing, follow-through
Build real relationships with researchers, open-source developers, AI creators, and technical founders
Bring community feedback back to product and research to shape what gets built and communicated next
Experiment across formats and channels, track what earns attention and trust, and let the data steer strategy
Must-haves
An active personal X account with 1,000+ followers and a technical audience
Experience creating social content that explains technical concepts
You build your own technical demos - code, notebooks, and video
Strong short-form technical writing - threads, posts, blogs
2-7 years in technical content, developer marketing, or Dev Rel in AI/ML
Nice-to-haves
CS, ML, or other technical degree (or equivalent self-taught depth)
Experience at an AI model or infrastructure company
X-native: you're already in the AI conversation and know what earns respect from researchers and engineers
Technically credible: you can read a paper, build a demo, and explain it without losing the substance
Ownership: you ship without waiting for a brief and take on the unglamorous work
Experimental: you test formats, read the data, and double down on what works
Focused: you prioritize ruthlessly when everything looks important
Collaborative and candid: you work closely with founders and researchers and give honest…
